March Monthly Meeting

Tuesday March 26th 2024, 7:00-8:30pm
TORONTO POTTERS MONTHLY MEETING

Artist Talk

with Natalie Waddell

Gardiner Museum,
111 Queens Park, Auditorium

Programme Description - NOT TO BE MISSED!

On Tuesday March 26th, we will celebrate a local celebrity!

For those of you who follow the popular new CBC TV series, The Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down, you will have the opportunity to chat with one of the judges from the series, Natalie Waddell.

Natalie will be sharing stories and images from behind the scenes while on set in the former Emily Carr University of Art and Design and will answer your questions about her two months spent working on the series (except naming the winning potter!). You will have to watch the finale for yourself on Thursday March 28th.

With more than twenty years of experience in ceramics, Natalie has been an active member of the Toronto Potters for the past decade. This is your opportunity to be inspired! Meet Natalie at the Gardiner Museum auditorium, Tuesday March 26th, 7-8:30 pm.

Natalie Waddell is a Canadian ceramic artist and educator based in Toronto. Her practice is driven by the love of process and the exploration of heritage and memory through clay.

A student of the Sheridan College Ceramic Craft and Design program (2003), she is known for her functional and sculptural work and active participation in local ceramic and arts communities and associations. Natalie is a judge on CBC tv’s Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down and will be a guest judge and featured panelist at the Spring One of A Kind Show in Toronto.

Her work can be viewed at www.ClayGirl.ca

Toronto Potters invite all members to meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month between 7:00-8:30pm, to connect with colleagues and new members, to network and to find out what’s coming up in the community of ceramics.
